"The Baroness" from the GI Joe cartoon of the 80s.
This was really just me experimenting with some different camera angles and whatnot. I think I messed the legs up, and probably a lot more, and her feet are too big, but "meh", lol.
On a related note, I am convinced any men around my age that have a thing for women with glasses, its because of the Baroness
(PS: HELP MAKE THE BEARTANK A REALITY! It still needs votes at Patch Together, read more here: [link] )
"On a related note, I am convinced any men around my age that have a thing for women with glasses, its because of the Baroness" Thats and accents and dark hair and mean streaks...
That sucks that they never showed it there! BLAST THEM FOR REFUSING TO AIR IT!!!
Thanks man, I'm always worried that my women either look like crap or whatever, they are a LOT harder to draw compared to male characters which are WAY easier, lol.

I TOTALLY hear ya on women being somewhat difficult to draw. I don't know whether it has something to do with us being males and thus being more familiar with the male anatomy and build in general .
I too remember being criticized back in school when I drew some caricatures of girls in my class for some school-yearbooks... they were like "Uuuh, you made me look like a witch!" To which I kinda thought, but didn't say out loud, well..big deal if you're looking like one with your crooked nose XD . But yeah, it is really hard to make a girl look good, I have especially big probs with drawing bosoms and curves (as in making them looking kind of realistic or well-proportioned and not weird and totally unlike women ).
You do a great job with girls though, I really look forward to seeing your take of some of my "girls" .
For me I think its not just a familiarity thing, but it has a lot to do with the fact that I really want to take more time on them and another biggie is just how much longer I was drawing male characters. I started drawing when I was little, and at that time "girls are icky" and no one wanted to draw girls! You drew guys because they were awesomer! And then you get older and that ickyness goes away, but then here you are with a HUGE number of years ahead on drawing males, and barely any practiceon drawing females.
AS for wanting to take more time on them, that has a lot to do with the point you made there: there's a specific "look" I want to give females depending on what I'm doing and as much as an animated style automatically lends to a thinner body type for males and females, I was never a fan of the anorexic look for women, I want them to have some curves and shape to them, like REAL women do, so its kinda weird when an animated look tends to do away with some of that, so I just make sure the have a curvyness to their stance, as anorexic characters can't have that, it doesn't work.
I dunno where I was going with all that, lol
I;m very glad you like how my women look, I really want to draw a lot more (tons of superhero women that need to be given the spotlight) and hopefully I get the chance soon!

So your hypothesis is that we are better in drawing males because girls were uncool and icky in grade school to us? Haha, great, that kinda makes sense to me, I remember that era pretty well and how you didn't want to spend free time with girls and teased boys who already spent lots of times with girls in the 3rd or 4th grade, a wonder we didn't all become homosexual . There's no denying though your point of having much more experience with drawing males because of that, I hereby declare that this reason is empirical proven .
Woohoo, yeah, woot, girls with curves rock...my gf thinks she's fat, but really, she was so thin back then, so it's no big deal, that she gained some weight. As I am a kind of blocky guy, I would likely crush an anorexic girl while hugging her anyways . So I applaud you for trying to make em look like real women do, the modern idealtypical media girl is sickenly thin...not really a healthy role model. As I said, your drawings of them turn out quite well!
So yeah, looking forward to you drawing more girls (including mine ).

Great work as always though, I like how you draw women, mine just always look hideous when I try drawing them
